The Corruption Goes National! Barone, Murdock, and LeBoutillier blow the whistle. Will you?

Over the past month, we have seen the race for the Republican and Conservative nomination for New York's 4th District gain national attention. Prominent conservatives have stepped up to show their support for Frank, attest to his conservative credentials and condemn the shady and desperate tactics used by Frank's opponent. This morning, an even bigger national spotlight has been placed on the conduct his opponent is displaying. Two of the most respected conservative columnists in America today, Michael Barone of the Washington Examiner, and Deroy Murdock of National Review, have written pieces condemning Fran Becker's blatant lies about Frank's service in Washington. In Barone's article, "Long Island GOP machine looking to boot another race?", he pointed out the absurdity of Becker's attacks: "The Becker forces have attacked Scaturro as a 'liberal' because he worked for Arlen Specter when he was Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. That is, of course, long before Specter’s April 2009 party switch....it’s ridiculous to attack Scaturro because Specter switched parties." Murdock's write-up on the race, "A High-Tech Dirty Trick in New York's 4th", was even more scathing of their trickery: "what is truly shocking is that, in support of this scurrilous attack, Becker’s campaign doctored a photo of Scaturro with Congressman Bob Turner....Such tactics should be below any Republican candidate, and besmirch the good name of the GOP."
We've seen the local coverage of this race from Newsday to LIPolitics. With Human Events, Newsmax.com, The Washington Examiner and now National Review Online, the nation is watching this battle for conservatism here in our backyard. This steady stream of local and national coverage illustrates not just how strong our campaign is, but how desperate our opponents are -- that they would stoop to methods that are an embarrassment not just to themselves, but to the democratic process as well. This is what we must reject on Tuesday. This is the kind of corruption of our system that must be defeated in four days. A better future and true representation for our district is there for the taking, but only if we do what is needed to turn out the vote for Frank. In short, This Race Matters. Let's show Nassau County and this nation that Conservatism still matters. That We the People still matter. This race is that critical.
We'll need all the support and help we can get over these next four days. Feel free to contribute to our ongoing Stand With Scaturro Moneybomb, and we thank those who have put us closer to our goal thus far. Make phone calls to your friends and neighbors on behalf of Frank. Drop off doorhangers on doors. Share the articles below and Senator Coburn's letter about Frank with others, and put out signs so that more people know about Tuesday's election. We are close to victory, but we cannot slow down now. Not with our opponent becoming more and more desperate. Not with the national media looking at our race. And not with the future of our country at stake. Stand with Frank Scaturro, and let's go and win this primary on June 26th!

About Frank
Frank Scaturro is a Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in New York’s 4th Congressional District. Frank believes our nation is at a tipping point, and if we do not turn things around, we could face many more years of decline. That is why he is offering the voters of Nassau County a real choice for principled new leadership that will finally represent the people.
As a principled new voice, Frank will work to make our Federal government accountable to the people again, reign in out-of-control spending, and reduce a crushing federal tax burden that hurts Long Island citizens and businesses.
Frank Scaturro was born in New York City in 1972 and raised in New Hyde Park following his family’s move to that community in 1973. His father, who had emigrated from Italy as a boy, was self-employed in a commercial air conditioning and refrigeration repair business for several years. He later became the supervisor of maintenance and operations at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City and then held a similar position at Chaminade High School in Mineola. His mother studied physical therapy at Nassau Community College and worked near home as a secretary at an insurance agency and several law firms. Read More
